It looked better in my head

I wanted to hang something "subtly" related to the 4th of July, and though it would be fun to use this picture frame (which had already been spray painted white) with some clearance Christmas ribbon and left over blue tissue paper.  I made pom poms and hung them from the frame.  It came together in about 15 minutes.

I still like the idea, but I think the white frame is just lost against my white door.  What do you think?

  1. I think your right. The white frame does kinda get lost. But over all I think it's a fantastic idea for a 4th decoration.

  2. I think it is cool idea. Maybe try wrapping the frame diagonally in red ribbon and tacking it with some tape or glue that way you can still reuse the frame but you get more color and the frame isn't washed out :-)
I dropped by to say that you won a digital stamp from www.dtsart.com. You can read about your winning on this blog post

  3. oh my gosh i'm so glad i found this post!! I currently have the ugliest door hanging on my front door because i thought it'd be an awesome idea to wrap a wreath in yarn... but i picked white yarn! So it of course makes my door look yellowish and I still haven't changed it! But it's serioulsy on my to do list today! I have to say that I like yours though!! It's fun and simple for the 4th! Good job! :)
