I'm currently working on pictures from around September 2010 (so a little over a year ago--not too bad) And the way I've always done it is one running album for the whole family. I work on 8.5 x 11 pages and put them in page protectors in regular 3 ring binders. When one gets filled up I just keep going in a new one. When I started scrapbooking 9 years ago, I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to keep up a book for each kid (even though then we didn't have any kids yet!)
The way I figure, I'm doing all this as a record for me, and if any of the kids are dying to have some pictures of their own to keep later on, we can make copies or scan digital versions.

So, how many other paper-scrapbooks are out there? Have you switched to digital instead? Or do all your photos live on your hard drive (I certainly have plenty there too!)

Love your scrapbooking skills! I still do "manual" scrapbooking too. It just doesn't seem the same to do digital. I'm so far behind in scrapbooking its not even funny. Oh well. Something to look forward to. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is how I do mine too....though I'm way further behind. Thinking about switching to digital, but I'll still just keep the running family album, not individual kid ones.

ReplyDeleteI love to hear what other people do with their scrapbooking! I'm with you on the not worrying about where I'm at. I don't have kids but I'm the family scrapbooker. I decided it was too hard to do multiples too. I love to paper scrapbook but I do a bit of digital too. I enjoy scrapbooking travels the most. I like your pages a lot. I bet they make you pretty happy when you look back at them!
