Some Things I Know

Just thought I'd share a few things I've learned recently.

  • Heavy Duty aluminum foil from the Dollar Tree is actually wimpier than regular aluminum foil.
  • A bread saw is way better than a bread knife for cutting bread.  It will unfortunately also cut through your thumbnail and thumb.
  • "Make sure your laces are tied so you don't trip and land on your face" is good advice for me as well as my kids.
  • Large marshmallows expand and get very slippery when placed in a cup of hot chocolate.  Cut them up first so your 3-year-old doesn't swallow it and choke--'cause that makes for a scary morning.

What have you learned lately?

  1. HI,
I am happy to be your newest follower from the linky followers blog hop. If you'd like to follow back, you can reach me at http://www.measuredbytheheart.com

  2. I learned the foil one too recently ;) I'd love you to add this to my What We Wore and Made link party

  3. What I know is you're AMAZING. The end. And that I want sugar cookies but I can't manage to clean my kitchen counter off so I can make said cookies. Apparently the pull is not very strong right now. I can still make heart-shaped sugar cookies the week AFTER Valentine's Day, right?

    1. I think I got my amazing from you.
And heart shaped cookies are acceptable any time!

  4. I learned that leaving scissors around my kids is a dangerous thing. Same with permanent markers. Oh, a bag full of frosting is also a bad thing to leave on the counter when the kids are in the kitchen.
