Today's Disney Week project is Mickey/Minnie ears. I actually found several good tutorials across the internet on how to make these. For my girls though, I opted to add little princess crowns, instead of bows. (There is a great tutorial for ears at The Suburban Mom)
I cut these shapes out of foam
and these shapes out of felt.
With hot glue I stuck the little foam tab down (it helps the ears and crown stand up straight and not flop over)
I glued the middle loop to the bottom of the headband and then folded it over and glued it together, with the foam in the middle.
After positioning the crown near one of the ears, I attached it the same way. When the crown was on I glued 3 sparkles to the points.
I think we'll fit right in at Disneyland!
Be sure to leave me any links or tips you have about visiting Disneyland...especially for the first time!

I'm loving all your Disney posts! So fun! Tips at Disneyland...get there super early and be the first ones in, bring your own autograph journal and pen for the characters, bring toys for the kids while they stand in line, plan out your day going to the most popular rides early in the morning, pack food or eat meals at off hours and be sure to see a show or two when it gets too hot! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Do you think if I added a pirate hat I could get my 3 year old son to wear a headband too?
