Mickey Ears with Crowns

Today’s Disney Week project is Mickey/Minnie ears.  I actually found several good tutorials across the internet on how to make these.  For my girls though, I opted to add little princess crowns, instead of bows. (There is a great tutorial for ears at The Suburban Mom)

I cut these shapes out of foam

and these shapes out of felt.

With hot glue I stuck the little foam tab down (it helps the ears and crown stand up straight and not flop over)

I glued the middle loop to the bottom of the headband and then folded it over and glued it together, with the foam in the middle.

After positioning the crown near one of the ears, I attached it the same way. When the crown was on I glued 3 sparkles to the points.

I think we’ll fit right in at Disneyland!
