Week in Review

I feel like I’ve been so busy cranking out projects lately (which is a good feeling–don’t get me wrong!) but that means I haven’t done very good at sharing what else is going on around here.  Interested?  Here’s a bit of life in general.

This last week I was the “picture mom” for the Harvest party at preschool.  Here we’re all dressed up as farmers and ready to go.  Which reminds me–I need to start editing those pictures!

I got the best mail this week: Issue #8 of Kids Crafts 123, has one of my projects in it, and they sent a copy to me!  It should be on shelves at places like Walmart or Michaels. It was one of my goals this year to be in a magazine, so this was huge!

I bought my ticket to SNAP and I’m super excited about going back again after attending the first year in 2012.  Leave me a comment if you’ll be going!

Today I was supposed to play the organ in church (I rotate with some other ladies, so I play about once a month)  But the organ wouldn’t turn on!  Luckily it didn’t just die out in the middle of a hymn and I was able to just switch to the piano instead.  I heard it working later in the day though–so strange (and yes, we did check to see if it was plugged in 🙂

Other than that, we’ve been enjoying a visit with my parents who took an impromptu trip from Idaho to see us.

Yesterday’s adventure was the pumpkin patch, and the kids reluctantly agreed to choose small pumpkins that they could carry on their own. (Notice how they don’t know what to do when the sun is in their eyes?)

Then rounded out the evening with a Halloween party at a friend’s house.  Hope you guys have all had a great week too–here’s to another one!
