Sometimes we just wish we could have an extra set of hands, right? Well, that's not possible, but sometimes having things stored in just the right way can help. The people over at Hometalk asked me to make a clipboard full of ideas for handy holders. Some of these are just so clever or cute. I hope you'll find some storage solutions of your own!
From bed and bath to kitchen and outside there are tons of ideas for you. Go ahead and follow me on Hometalk while you're there. What's the "handiest holder" you have in your house?
Wednesday was another fun day at camp. I was feeling pretty good at this point too--things had been going smoothly, the girls were all getting along fine (as I expected) and all the time was being filled up (one of my biggest worries)
Over the next few posts I'm going to take you through our Craft Camp I held last week and hopefully you'll find some fun ideas of things to do with your own kids, by yourself, or even have your own craft camp! Stick around to the end of the post for a fun giveaway too.
We're wrapping up the last day of Craft Camp at my house today. It's been so much fun! I'll be sharing more about it next week. The 4th of July has come and gone, but that doesn't mean that all things patriotic disappear. Especially if it has something to do with Mickey Mouse :) This was my most recent project for Undercover Tourist, and I thought you'd all like to see it too!
Do you dream of taking some time away without the kids, but the thought of all the prep work leaves you panicking? Hopefully this will help! Last month I shared all my ideas at Brassy Apple, and now I'm posting them all here too. With the right preparation, you can have a stress-free trip and everyone will have fun!
Generally speaking, all you have to do to entertain kids for a while is toss a few balloons on the floor and they'll do the rest. Sometimes it's fun to have something specifically planned though, and this list of balloon games is a great place to start.
I'm sure you all know Stampin' Up for their stamps and card and scrapbook ideas. Now they sell washi tape too, and if there's one great thing about having a craft supply get popular is that you start seeing more and more options in patterns and places to get it! Look at these cute rolls:
I recently got the opportunity to try out the services at Cardstore, and now I get to let you all know what I thought!
I found the site very easy to navigate with dozens of card categories to choose from, like Thank You and Birthdays. With customizable phrases, colors, and even your own signature you have a totally personalized card in minutes!
My grandma recently retired, so I thought this was the perfect occasion to use the Congratulations photo card. I uploaded my own photo, typed out a message for the inside and sent my order. They can even mail the card directly to the recipient, which is great if you're pressed for time! I had my card mailed to me first so I could check it out, and loved the nice heavy feel of the card--great quality!
And look at those cute faces :) Thanks Cardstore, for letting me design!
I received a complimentary card, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Last week I took my oldest daughter, who's 9, on a trip. Just the two of us! It was great to have some some good mom-kid time, as well as spend so much time with family in the area. We sure miss them all! We visited BYU (and ran through the sprinklers :) saw my parents (they drove down from Idaho Falls to see us!) saw one of my sisters, had some super tasty shaved ice (including once on our way to the airport to come home) played in the water, did fireworks, and played with lots of cousins.
I also got to meet up with all my Point of View friends for lunch on our very first day! Can you tell where we were? My Emily was so great to stand there and take pictures with each of our phones :)
I know tons of my other blog friends and readers live around there too, and I wish I could have seen all of you somehow! But like I said, Emily and I had an awesome time, and it's great to be back home too. What did you all do for the 4th of July?
You've seen it done before, right? The Ikea bookshelves turned into a bench with cubbies... It was the right idea for under the girls' window, but once turned on its side it would be too long and would take up too much of the precious floor space in there.
I know you guys will all be excited about today's post! I have a fun 4th of July project for you--be sure to stick around to the end so you can enter the giveaway for $200 to your choice of JoAnn or Home Depot sponsored by coupons.com. Think of what you could do with that! Let me show you what I did with a few items from JoAnn--using my JoAnn coupon of course.
