Say No to Auto Video Workshop Review and Giveaway

{Kristen Duke has turned her e-book, Say No to Auto into a beginner workshop online video so you can learn at home how to get the most out of your camera}

If I were to guess, I’d say there are a few of you out there who just got a nice fancy camera for Christmas.  And I’d say there are even more of you who currently have a nice camera that you just aren’t sure how to use exactly.

Here’s what Kristen says:
Do you have a fancy camera that you don’t know how to use?  Did you buy it thinking you’d take images like the professionals because you have a camera like the professionals?   I used to shoot on auto…it’s easy…and the pictures are decent.  But I didn’t want decent, I wanted amazing.  The only way to do that is to make the decision to Say NO to Auto and learn the camera’s manual settings.  I’ve outlined 3 basic steps, and I teach you how to find the right buttons on your camera, so you can have more confidence to produce beautiful images yourself!

There is tons of information out there, but I’ve found that many articles can get a little boring, or are too far over my skill level so I can’t actually understand it.  There are classes and workshops available, but they can be expensive, and aren’t always at a time when you can attend.

This video workshop is great because you can pause and rewatch, try something out and then watch it again to make it really sink in.

Kristen really does a great job of explaining things like shutter speed and aperture in a way that makes them easy to understand.  She shows you how they interconnect to make a great picture.

The pages of the e-book are all embedded into the video so you can see each page as she talks about them.

I will also say that even if you don’t have to have an SLR camera you will benefit from this workshop.  My camera is a Nikon P510, so I can’t change lenses on it.  But it still has a manual setting where I can choose shutter speed, aperture (my lowest is 3.0) and make sure I’ve got the right exposure.

Here is a recent picture I took using Kristen’s tips, straight out of the camera:

It costs $150 a seat for the LIVE Say NO to Auto Workshops. The downloadable VIDEO workshop sells for $60.  The pages of the e-book are embedded in the video, but some like to purchase the e-book separately to study when away from the video. Purchase Ebook here for $10.

BUT Kristen’s offering a discount to my readers for $10 off making the video just $50–a great deal!  Use the coupon code craftingrain10 at checkout.

And on top of that, we’re giving away a free video to one of you!  Just enter using the Rafflecopter form below and one of you will be on your way to taking much awesomer pictures. (If you purchase, and are then the lucky winner, you will be refunded 🙂
