{XOXO Valentine's decor on drop cloth and wood}

This cute little sign first appeared on Craftaholics Anonymous last year. Now that we're coming up on Valentine's day again I thought I should post it here too.

You'll need: (links may be affiliate)

  • wood (any kind/size, paint or stain if desired)
  • paint (white and pink)
  • brushes
  • fabric just smaller than the wood piece (I used canvas drop cloth)
  • Fabri-tac glue
  • XOXO stencil (I cut mine from freezer paper...it works great in  my Cricut, just put the non-shiny side up and reverse the image before cutting)
  • flat thumbtacks

1--Paint block edges white.
2--Fray fabric edges a little if desired.
3--Center the stencil on the fabric and paint (iron down if using freezer paper)  Remove stencil and let paint dry.  I'm impatient and use my hair dryer.
4--Glue fabric down with drops of glue and press a tack into each corner. Tap with a hammer if needed.

And that's it--simple and sweet Valentine decor. Will you be making one?
