Mother's Day Chocolate || Crafting in the Rain

I don’t know about you, but anything that involves chocolate makes a good gift in my book. A cute presentation is a bonus and I’m going to show you how easy it is to make a flower and chocolate bouquet that’s perfect for a mom, sister or friend on Mother’s Day.

Supplies:
Dove® chocolate (I used Mint & Dark Chocolate Swirl and plain Dark)
Coffee Filters
Paint or food dye
Wood Skewers
Small vase or clean can
Marbles
Glue gun

Dip dye the edges of a few sections of coffee filters in water with a little added paint or dye.

Let dry overnight or speed up the process with a hair dryer. I set the filters into a deep bowl to help them hold their shape when I dry them this way.

How to Dye Coffee Filters || Crafting in the Rain

To make one flower, pinch up the center of one coffee filter, then put it in the center of another filter and then another.

Flatten the gathered part in the back, add a bit of hot glue, and wrap around the end of a skewer.

Glue one wrapped Dove® Promise into the middle of the flower.  Repeat with other colors to make as many flowers as you want.

Pour marbles into the vase or can and stick skewers down in, arranging the bouquet. I broke the ends off a few sticks so they were a little shorter. I also painted an empty (clean) pickle jar with chalkboard spray paint and drew a heart when it had dried.
