{At home pedicure for soft feet}

Just because summer’s over that doesn’t mean we should neglect our feet now. In fact, with heaters drying out the air in our houses, we should probably be taking even more care of them. Even if the days of flip-flops are gone.

Last month my husband and I took an awesome trip to Maui. In my dream world, I’d keep my feet smooth by taking a walk barefoot in the Maui sand every morning. But unfortunately that’s just not possible.

So here’s the next best thing. Follow these tips for taking care of your feet and helping them be healthier.

  • Wear socks and shoes to protect those toes (I’m so clumsy that if I’m not wearing shoes, my toes get stubbed, stepped on and have things drop on them. Every. Single. Time.)
  • Smooth out rough spots with new Amopé Pedi Perfect electronic pedicure foot file.
  • Once a week soak your feet at home.
  • Put lotion on your feet before bed, like Amopé Foot Cream.

Here's my recipe for easy orange bath salts.

Pour 1 cup Epsom salt into a gallon size zipper bag. Add 5 drops orange food coloring (or 3 yellow and 2 red.) Add about 8-10 drops orange essential oil. Close the bag and mix thoroughly with your hands. In a clean, dry jar pour half the orange salts. Pour in a layer of uncolored, white salt, then top with the rest of the orange salt. Cover jar with a real lid or a cupcake liner tied with twine.

So smooth up those feet and imagine that you’ve been walking on the beach. And definitely keep this in mind when you're shopping for holiday gifts soon.

Plus I have some deals to share with you. From 11/2/2014 - 11/22/2014 there's a Target Cartwheel offer for 10% off and starting 11/9/2014 - 11/22/2014 purchase one Pedi Perfect and receive a $5 Target gift card.

When you're in Target looking for these products you'll find them in the foot care section.

I want to know if you have any other tips for keeping your feet nice during the winter! And for more DIY pedicure ideas see this post.
