Cheese Ball Recipe

How to make an easy cheese ball recipe that’s a great snack or appetizer for your favorite get together.

This cheese ball has been a staple at my house growing up during the holidays. It makes a great appetizer with your favorite crackers. Plus, it’s easy, which is always awesome! And don’t be scared of the blue cheese.

Even if it’s not your favorite, it actually doesn’t leave a strong flavor here. Make sure you make it up a day ahead of time to let the flavors meld.

In a bowl place:
2 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
1/4 cup blue cheese
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
and let come to room temperature.

Beat with a mixer on low speed to combine. Then beat at medium speed until fluffy. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours. Shape into two balls and roll in salted sunflower seeds, or your favorite chopped nut.

Wrap in plastic wrap until ready to serve. These make great gifts too. Write up a tag that says “Merry Christmas from your cheesy neighbors!”  Or something like that 🙂
