Red Hot Punch

{Cinnamon Pineapple Punch}

This recipe is one I got from my sister years ago. If I didn't know and trust her, I'd say that the flavor combination was just too crazy to work. But it is good! If you're looking for a party drink that will surprise your guests, this is it.

Red Hot Punch
1/2 cup red hots (look for bags of them, or in the bulk section of a grocery store, rather than buying the small jars found in the cake decorating aisle)
3 cups pineapple juice, divided (I get the frozen concentrate, and the right amount of water to it, then measure out what I need for the recipe)
1/3 cup sugar
2 liters lemon lime soda

On the stove heat 2 cups pineapple juice and candy over medium high heat until the candy dissolves. Add remaining 1 cup of pineapple juice and the sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Chill in fridge. You can make this up to a day ahead of time. Add soda right before serving.

Have you ever had this cinnamon pineapple drink before--or do you think you'll try it? I'd love to hear!
