4th of July Treats and Do Tell Tuesday #30

So, it's July! I hope everyone's having a great summer! I feel like ours just started, so I get a little panicky when the Back to School stuff busts out after the 4th of July :)

Please check out the features and link up your own latest blog posts, and your INSTAGRAM in the second link party.

Fruttare Fruit Bars and Hiking

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Fruttare, but all my opinions are my own. #itsallgood #pmedia  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

{Refreshing Fruit Bars as a hiking treat}
Now that the weather's warmed up, and it's been a pleasantly dry spring/summer, we have been scheduling in hikes whenever we can. Often it's on a Saturday, but we'll go somewhere close after work during the week sometime too.

Pink Grapefruit Meltaways

{Meltaway cookie recipe with grapefruit}

Citrus and summer are a perfect pair so make up some of these grapefruit cookies for your next picnic. I've made lime meltaways before, but when I had the idea to swap the flavor for grapefruit, I couldn't wait to try it. And let me tell you--they are good!

Featured Printables and Do Tell Tuesday #29

Tuesday means another link party! Below I've chosen some great printables that were linked up last week.

Cute Sock Puppets and Giveaway

This post is sponsored by Darice and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

{Sock puppet kits for kids to encourage play and creativity}

It's finally the first official day of our summer vacation! I've declared it to be a totally lazy day, where the only chores that need to be done are the ones required for survival and I don't care if we're in our PJs til after lunch.

Lace Stenciled Dresser

I received a stencil to review but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

{How to stencil dresser drawers}

When I saw this lace stencil I knew I wanted to put it on a dresser!

My husband originally painted this dresser over 5 years ago to go in our son's room before he was born. We recently got him a new dresser, and I got to try something fun a girly on this one. Here's what it looked like before.

We're all bringing you a Summer-themed post today and I went totally literal with a Summertime Sign!

Wallternatives Project Ideas

Just last Monday I showed you the Scrabble Tile Decals I put in my hallway.

I've gotten tons of great comments about it at my house because you can see it right from my front door.

I've seen so many posts from different blog friends of mine featuring other Wallternatives products, so I wanted to show off their creativity too!

Rachel and the TreeSchoolers

I know lots of you have been out of school for weeks, but we've got one left to go here...at least for my older girls. My son graduated from preschool yesterday. Look how cute!

During the summer it can be a struggle to know how to balance free time, screen time, structured time, etc.

4th of July Pretzel Butterflies

{Butterfly Pretzels for your patriotic party}

My 5 year old and I were dipping pretzels for our snack the other day, and when I set two down next to each other, they looked just like a butterfly! By adding some colored sprinkles, you can make little butterfly treats perfect for your 4th of July picnic.

Scrabble Wall Vinyl

I received product and compensation for this post but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Have you decorated your hallways with anything? Our hallway is pretty narrow and I've never really thought about putting anything here.

But that all changed when my Wallternatives Scrabble letters arrived. I met them at SNAP; they're a division of Royal Design Studio. You've probably heard of or used their stencils already. Their new Wallternatives are a range of products including

{Hiking tips for kids including a great snack recipe}

With summer fast approaching, one of the things we're most looking forward to is doing family hikes again! We did a ton of hiking last summer and plan to keep that up. We live in an area with a wide variety of hiking options, and we found a lot of good ones to take our kids on. We've also discovered a few tips for hiking with kids that I want to pass along as well.

1--Choose an appropriate hike

There are lots of resources out there to help you find hikes in your area.

{Learn how to make shirt with a Lace Mickey on it}

My friend Rachel at R&R Workshop is running a whole month of Disney posts and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! We love Disney stuff at our house, and I've done several Disney crafts on my blog and I loved a reason to come up with another one.

Father's Day Gift Ideas and Do Tell Tuesday #26

{Ideas for Father's Day gifts}

With Father's Day just a couple of weeks away, there's still plenty of time to put together one of these gifts or meals for dad that were linked up last week.

Tarkett Flooring

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tarkett NA. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you guys follow me on Instagram, you've seen that we've been working hard on our son's room. It has new ceiling texture, paint, flooring and baseboards and we're thrilled with how it's turned out. We are now on the hunt for the right furniture (regular-size bed for him!) and the best way to build his closet.

We're thinking that we'll move on to the girls' room when school is out in a few weeks. That's the last room in our whole house that we haven't fixed up since moving in over 4 years ago.

I always have the hardest time visualizing what things will look like before hand, and that can make some decisions take extra long. And there are so many options! I hadn't even heard about FiberFloor before. It's designed with woven fiberglass and is asthma and allergy friendly and resistant to wear, scuffs, scratches and dents. The luxury vinyl tile is available in tiles, planks, adhered floors and floating floors.
