Purple Dresser Makeover

(I partnered with Country Chic Paint and D Lawless Hardware on this dresser makeover)
Back in the summer we decided it was finally time to start working on decorating the kids rooms. We've lived here over a year, and have recovered from the burnout of remodeling pretty much the entire main floor of our house (you know, floors, paint, bathroom, baseboards, kitchen, tile, the works!)

JORD Watches and Back to School for Me!

Luxury Wood Watch

School started up for me again this week! This semester I'm only taking 2 classes. In each of the 3 semesters last year I took 3 classes, and it just got to be too much, especially with some pretty heavy programming classes in there. So I'm happy to be taking 2 classes right now that are more on the design side anyway. Even though my classes are online and I have no physical class to attend, I got dressed up in my "This Girl is on Fire" shirt, because this school year is going to be great.

Electrical Tape Stripe Wall

I'm working on decorating the kids' rooms! I've been focusing on the girls' rooms -- they have some new bedding, I painted dressers for each room, and in the last week I painted both of the rooms too! I'll show you Emily's rainbow stripe room later, but for today I'm just showing you the lattice striped wall I did in Meagan's room.

Coral Painted Jewelry Box

As part of the Country Chic blog squad I received paint for this project.

Have you ever picked out something to paint just on a whim? Like you didn't have a plan going into it, and didn't even know you wanted to paint it? Sometimes I just like to wander through the thrift store to see what is begging to be painted that day. That’s how I found this jewelry box. It looked pretty boring just sitting there on the shelf. So of course I brought it home with me.

How to Paint a Laminate Nightstand

As part of the Country Chic Paint blog squad I received paint for this post.

Have you ever been scared to paint laminate furniture? Have you read posts about how difficult it can be? I decided to try out a pretty easy way with these two nightstands, since I knew I'd be ok if they didn't turn out. Guess what, they've been great! I'll share my tips with you here.
