New Cricut Access Plans

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

Hey there Cricut friends! If you’ve gone onto Design Space in the last week or so, you’ve seen that there are some new Cricut Access Membership Plans.  I’m going to tell you the differences between them so you can know what will work best for you!

You may be wondering if you will be required to use cartridges with your Cricut Explore. NOPE! (But -- if you do have a collection of carts already from your previous machines, you can still use them) There's a port on the machine where cartridges can still go even on the Explore and Explore Air machines. You also have the option of linking them to your Cricut Design Space account, and then you can use all of those images without having to switch out the physical cartridge each time.

So, on to the Access Plans. . .

The original version of Access is now called Cricut Access Standard.
Then, there are 2 new Access products available:

Cricut Access Fonts - available in both monthly ($6.99/month) and annual ($59.88/year) options, will grant users access to 370+ fonts in Design Space. Access Fonts does not provide any discount on purchases on Cricut.com or in Design Space and does not provide access to the other 30,000+ images available in Cricut Access Standard (but you can still purchase them individually of course.)

This plan will be awesome if you mainly do typography stuff with your Cricut - lots of wall words? wood signs? quotes on t-shirts?

Cricut Access Premium - only available as an annual membership for $119.88 per year ($9.99/month), provides everything available in Cricut Access Standard + 50% off of digital purchases on Cricut.com or in Design Space. Major licenses are excluded from the 50% discount (only discounted at 10% as with Cricut Access Standard). These major licensors are: Disney, Sesame, Boy Scouts, Anna Griffin, San Rio (Hello Kitty), and Lia Griffith.

This is the best deal if you use a variety of Cricut designs - fonts, boxes, images, flowers, print-then-cut images, cards, and more!

If you are a current Cricut Access member and you want to upgrade to Access Premium, you will automatically have the remaining portion of your current membership applied to the new membership.

Similarly, Access Standard members who want to switch to Access Fonts will have any remaining value in their current membership applied to the Fonts membership.
